Young artists, mostly graduates of Ipswich High School, display there work in free exhibit at Hall-Haskell House in Ipswich MA. The display was organized and curated by Amberlie Tejada, another recent IHS graduate.
Now a senior in Salem State College, where her major is psychology and minor is criminal justice, Tejada said she wants to spur conversation in a non-threatening environment.
“I picked the artist the artists chose work that they best thought described them as a human being,” she said.
Although not an artist herself, Tejada said she wanted to facilitate discussion in a safe place where people could discuss issues currently in the national news.
“I feel like art is unifying, and we can have open disicussions in a civil manner,” she said
